What is a the difference between coupons and deals?
Coupons – These are discounts on specific products sold in some of your favourite retailers. Currently we offer coupons available at Dis-Chem, Shoprite, Checkers and Checkers Hyper stores.
Deals – These are made up of various kinds and type of offers from merchants on SwitchONBenefits. The particular deal with have all the details of the offer and how to claim this, along with the expiry and any other important info you need to know.
What are Merchants?
Merchants on the platform are made up of retail stores, websites, restaurants etc, that offer member coupons and deals on SwitchONBenefits.
What is ‘My Bag’?
This is your shopping bag, when you like a deal or coupon, simply add this to your bag. When you are finished shopping for the deals and coupons you want, simply select ‘My bag’, select ‘Claim My bag’ and all your deal and coupons will be sent to your phone via SMS. You will receive separate SMS messages for each set of deals and coupons.
What is ‘Bag History’?
This is a record of all your claimed deals and coupons, you can also re-send yourself any deals / coupons via SMS of you have deleted these before using them. Your bag History will be cleared each month.
How do I get access to premium benefits?
Dial *139*1# and follow the prompts to subscribe
Send an SMS stating ‘Yes / Ok’ to 0820099664
Login at https://www.SwitchONBenefits.com, click on ‘My Profile’ and select ‘Upgrade membership’ and follow the instructions.
When does my deal / coupon expire?
The expiry date detail is listed on the SMS you receive when accessing the deal / coupon.
Can I use my deal / coupon at any store?
Most deals and coupons will be nationally available, but there may be a small portion that are only available in specific areas as a result of Retailer footprint. To be fully aware make sure to view each benefit’s specific T&Cs found in the expanded view of the deal.
Can I use my deal / coupon on any day?
For every deal / coupon you will receive an SMS, it will specify any special requirements / limitations, so please pay attention to these when accessing your deals and coupons.
Can I use my deal / coupon on weekends?
Most deals and coupons will be available to be used any day of the week, however certain ones will have specific T&Cs, so please make sure to view these carefully.
Can I use more than one deal / coupon benefit per transaction?
All deals and coupons will have specific limitations in order to make it available fairly to all our customers, so to be aware of this please make sure to view the specific T&Cs.
I accidentally deleted my confirmation SMS / I lost my phone, please can you advise what my deal / coupon code is for xyz?

You can also log on to www.SwitchONBenefits.com. Go to ‘bag history’ and you are able to view and re-send your previously accessed deals. *Note - this history clears after 12 months.

I've subscribed but premium benefits are still locked. Why?
If you are not able to redeem premium benefits, then your subscription is in an unpaid status. These will be unlocked immediately after the next successful charge attempt to your mobile number used to register for this service.
Can I access the SwitchONBenefits platform from more than one device?
Yes you can, however if you access from another mobile device, you will be requested to enter your login details. These details were sent via SMS to your mobile that you used to register to the service.
Is there any cost for accessing the SwitchONBenefits platform?
Yes, standard data charges will apply if you are not on a specific data plan or in a free Wi-Fi hotspot.
What are brand competitions on SwitchONBenefits?
SwitchONBenefits partners with various brands who in turn expose their competitions on the platform. By aggregating these competitions, SwitchONBenefits customers have a variety to choose from.
How do I enter a competition on SwitchONBenefits?
To enter a competition, click on the "Competitions" category and select from the list of competitions. Fill in the required fields, either by logging in or subscribing, and follow instructions to see if you are a prize winner. Ts & Cs apply to all competitions and can be found on the specific competition's page. Selected competitions are available to Premium subscribers only.
